AFG MedPrep Pro comes out of one physician's own path through Afghan medical education — and the gap he kept running into along the way.
Dr. Khoshal Saidy is a physician and university lecturer based in Kandahar, with an academic and humanitarian public health background that includes work across multiple districts and health facilities in Afghanistan. He also teaches at a university and builds software as a Flutter developer.
The Residency, or Takhasos, exam is one of the most consequential moments in an Afghan doctor's career — and for years, preparing for it has meant relying on scattered PDFs, secondhand notes, and textbooks that were never designed with the exam's format in mind. AFG MedPrep Pro was built to close that gap: real textbook content — from Guyton & Hall Physiology to Robbins & Kumar Basic Pathology to Davidson's Essentials of Medicine — turned into structured, offline, trilingual study modules across all 9 core textbooks on the syllabus.
Every chapter is designed to work without a reliable internet connection, in English, Pashto, or Dari, with progress tracking and exam-style questions built to the same difficulty spread candidates will see on exam day. The app is already used by thousands of Afghan medical students preparing for their Residency exam.
Dr. Saidy has also developed other medical apps, including Pashto ECG and Medical Terminology, and produces animated medical courses on YouTube under the brand Pashto Medicine — extending the same goal of giving Afghan students tools that were built for their reality, not adapted from someone else's.
